  • Its not fair but life

Its 8.47am and im in work and yes im not meant to be in, i feel its either called commitment or just stupidity. Last night was the works party which was a laugh however little Sean who works for me has broken his ankle. As many of you know its my dads business (Covplumbing.co.uk) free plug there  so being the wonderful son i am i have come into work. Last night i got to bed at 2.30 which isnt bad when your having a lie in but when you woken up at 6.20 to be told you gotta cover at work its a bit of a bummer. We had a comedian on last night at the meal, hes was ste, the jokes he came out with are worse then the jokes you get in Christmas crackers.

I got sent a email from my mate Tom yesterday, im kinda unsure if to put the pic on here, some will find funny and its not intended to be nasty but i think 95% will grin or laugh with the other 5% politically correct people not liking it, but hey ho the pic is.Shannon Plate

I havent started any Christmas shopping and cant be really arsed as in 14 days I will be off to Key West, yipheee, sun, sea, sand and sleep. I will post pics once i get back, rumour has it the hotel has free wi fi so might take my lappy with me so I can update as I go along.

I have started to read a new book, its by Gloria Hunningford book im reading. My mate Tom has read it aswell and prewarned me to read it alone unless you want people to see you as a blubbering wreck. Its the follow on book from Caron's book (for the thicko's Caron was/is Gloria's daughter). Caron started to write her book about 11 years ago about how she was fighting cancer etc but the media etc wasnt aware of it (well most of it) this first book is again a great but sad read and the last chapter was completed by her friend as Caron died before completing the book, however back to this book. Always with you is Glorias side of the death etc and life afterwards and from chapter 2 onwards does get emotional, if you have someone you cant think what to buy and they are bit of a book worm get it and prob the first one aswell.

Tonight, i might go out unsure at the mo, guess how it depends how i feel later on. Oh yeah message for Duckies (he knows who he is) still remember revenge is still best served cold.

Thats about it really, I keep thinking of things to write on here but when it comes to it I forget it all.

  • More chat and stuffs

    Ello all,

Well its now Sunday evening and sod all on tv as normal unless you wanna watched the repeats of the repeats of Top Gear on Dave.

Yesterday i didnt rush out of bed as i wasnt in work (I know shock horror) and chilled most of before going to Unkle Wayne and daddy Chris's house :p I was a nice person and took a bottle of fizzy stuff, normal wine and also loads of sweeties.

Last night we went to the Ricoh (Cov City Ground) to see a Kylie tribute band - lets be blunt here, it was shite, such a let down :( all she did was mime, thats not a tribute band in my eyes. To make things worse last i wasnt in the mood to drink at all, drink alcohol or soft drinks but the place was to warm aswell, the only thing that i wanted to do was sleep.

I got in popped online (facebook) and ended up calling Jamie to help him solve his current love problems, the answer is simple but hey ho, love and all that crap.

Today got up at 11, then went to work with the mad Paul Golby, yeah he makes me laugh so much and talks so much crap like i do.

So now i got Doc Dolittle on, not seen it b4, looks okish but 8pm channel 4 is that Peter Kay thing which looks so so so good.

  • long time coming, i know now stop nagging :P

    well hello all,

well its been a busy time for me, I havent had chance to stop really.

    Brief update:

Last friday was the 'Virtual Horse Racing' night for the www.wnaa.co.uk - Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. I havent totalled it all up yet but expect we raised about £500 for the night which aint a bad amount i feel.

Saturday went to see Kylie In London - who knows what that women is like, i got fed up her begging me to go and see her, it was texts on the hour every hour if not more. Well I couldnt take anymore begging so agreed to go and watch her sing and she wasnt to bad, carrys on the way shes going she might have a number 1 soon. The hotel was nice we (we being Tom Slag, Mike - Duck and me) duckies booked the hotel through his many connections and got us a executive room at the Victoria Plaza Posh Hotel, it has fancy lights in the lift. The advantages of a executive room: 2 showers (one over a bath and one normal) in the bathroom not just ur normal soaps u got a toothbrush set, sewing kit and stuffs and oh yeah free wine in the executive lounge, mmmmmmmmmmmmm bring it on.

Well sat night we made our way to the bigtop of london (02 arena as its now known), well the seats Kylie gave me were as far away as poss (the reason for this is simple - she was nervous performing infront of me :p) the people in Luton were closer than us i think. Well yeah Kylie was good, however there was no 'Locomotion and Especially for you' just some WOW WOW WOW'ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Some may have known in the past I went and saw Dolly Parton at Hammersmith Apollo, now how do I compare them to each other, well Kylie was good and was on for a long time and was spot on in singing, Dolly, her concert was more of a story about her life and what was the meaning behind the songs so you kinda felt a little more involved.

Im a little p>:XXd off cause of my dad,(hope he dont read this) but hes getting more and more twisted and nasty as each day goes on, hes 2 different people now - upsetting in away as I kinda except that my 'normal' dad has gone now and been replaced by a kinda nasty beast. What has started to increase more its the personal attacks on staff and people, (i can see him getting more and more like his mum) hes getting like scrouge now, we have got staff working in the dark to save electricity - he says to save the enviroment, we think he just likes to cause problems and the pettier they are the better for him.

I gotta get a new job, i gotta escape from this, its making me ill, (god i sound like paul) ::p sorry about that Paul but just could resist. I would love to work here and make a propa go of it all but with things being so so petty it will never work - it just cant.

    Doesnt this sound depressing.

Anyway did anyone see all that thunder and lightning last night, well all I could see was lightning in the distant but it was amazing.

anyway back to work i guess for me

btw normal rules apply, i havent prove read it so i guess theres alot of spelling etc.

  • the fun run has been done

    Hello all

the fun run has been completed :)

We did the the 4 1/2 mile run in just over a hour which was half the time we expected which im well pleased with.

A massive thank you to Paul Golby (not the chief Exec at Eon) Paul Golby the alarm man who helped build the bath on wheels (i will upload the pics soon). The bath handled really really well, couldnt fault it at all.

We generally did a combination of jogging and walking around the course. When we started to go down hill etc of course we sped up this is where the flashing blue LED's and sirens came into action, it was like moses parting the sea (i think it was moses wasnt it). Oh yeah more thanks to my dad (im in his bad books so thought its best to say this) thanks for the 'donor' vehicle the go kart and yeah we also borrowed the number plate of his Galaxy - he dont know that bit yet though so im gonna get them put back on tomorrow in the day.

I have started the garden decking in the garden, the holes are dug and also the lights for it are ordered.

I hope to have the decking in by next weekend but its gonna be a real struggle i think :(

  • hi all

    Just a brief update:

Money raising for the fun run is about £1800 now so going in the right direction.

I gotta sell my Renault Scenic car, its a great car and will be great for a family etc.

Yesterday i went to Ascot. I drove down there in dads minibus, it was hell, i hated it. Has anyone ever driven a LDV minibus its like driving a vehicle on ice all the time.

Well i didnt win much well, ermmmm £3.80 and that was it :( but it was a real nice day and relaxed once we got past the snotty arsey cows there. It took us about hour and 45 mins to get there.

The fun run bath steering has been upgraded and even a steering wheel has been added so its all systems go, just gotta put the sign writing and flashing lights on it.

thats it really, sorry for the crap update but im knackered, lol

    xx

  • just a weeeeeeeeee update

    Updates updates updates.

Ok, Coventry Fun Run: feel the money raising isnt going to well at all and that other people are not trying that much which is annoying me, yeah we are collecting money on the day in buckets but thats not gonna get us to hit the target we want. So im gonna plug it again www.justgiving.com/theplum-bers This Thursday the Telegraph are comming to take pics of us and the bath for the paper with a weeeeeeee interview, there u go my claim to fame.

The weekend has been very very chilled really apart from working yesterday (Saturday) am. Last night was chilled and a early night however my dream was weird and in my dream i was in Greece and there was a army area i wasnt allowed in. To make things weirdier (if thats a word) in my sleep i had arranged the pillows down the middle of the bed - i reckon the pillows was the boarder for the area for me not to go into. During the sleep we went into the 'no go' area and the bloody army men gave us a slight electric shock through the water, how rude.

Ok, heres more fun run stuff, gotta make the go kart/bath thing i gotta make it yet, and ermmm struggling on the ermmmm getting the wheels side of things sorted but the alarm man, Mr Paul Golby, AMFYOYO, BACS, HONS, alarm man said he will help me morrow with that 4 sure.

I reckon Paul (the lodger) needs to take a sponsorship into work for me and get me loads of money and also his work should offer some water for us to take in the bath, we can put their logo on it 4 them 4 sure :0) :P

Im sat in the garden writing the blog with ones of those chimney thingys by me to keep me warm. The animals are starting to chill abit now, Dexter Flumpy Biscuit Head and Ty Floyd have been chasing each other around the garden all night, Dexter has been been doing pumping - some may know what this means, you who dont just ask and i might tell yah but it will cost ya.

This week its a role change again, im going from IT/CCTV/Networking/Electrical to be a warehouse 'manager' at Swan Lane. Problem is that this role is ermmmm not a challenge and so so boring and easy, in life i need challenges - shite im starting to sound like some one i know i wont say who all i will say is 'oh life is great babe' and im sure at least 2 of you will know who i mean.

So thats it kinda folks, me is signing out again for a bit. oh no crap i forgot, on Thursday i went with Tom Slag to Newcastle upon Tyne, we went in his new work Nissain 4 x 4 thingy, which was nice to drive and did like it. Tom will have noticed im generally a crap passenger, im getting better but after my motorway crash a few yrs ago im still abit afraid for sure.

    thats it folks

  • Bank Holidays At Work :(

    hello worldy peoples,

well ermmmm im at work and its not fair , web dog is here aswell - im teaching him how to use the internet - hes not use to all this technology. So far i have taught him how to type in the address bar but hes struggling.

This weekend has been ok, more alarm call outs for work - starting to really p>:XXss me off now.

Ok, next comment is muppet Muppet . This is a result of someone i know who knows someone whose gone out driving while still drunk. Yes not good this is its normal kinda look The person i know - Steve - is so so gutted with it all - btw he wasnt the driving.

Its now bank holiday and in work, how wrong is that but due to the amount I work i havent actually used any of my time off even though i went away for a week :)

Im gonna be working at the Canley branch after today for the week which i dont reckon alot will be liking as im kinda pissed off with the lack of thought up there and the attitude. Im not gonna be nasty but suppose honest.

  • updates, updates and updates.

    well lets update you.

Its 18.10 on 18/05/08 (i think) and im at work, yeah what the hell am i doing at work, well its all Mr Golby's fault (the alarm man) btw jo jo hes says 'cake'. Basically i will be geeky here, the old alarm kept going off the a 'low battery' fault and mains failure but this was b>:XXks as Mr G says its to do with 'RF Interference' from next door so to solve the problem meant doing a minor update on the system which has taken 3 days - simple hey, life never is here. So in simple terms for peoples the old alarm is/was f>:XXk and the new one isnt.

So have brought my nearest and dearest to work with me (Decky Do Do and Ty) so far dexter has eaten all the staffs biscuits and sweets and Ty has just cause mayhem.

Ohh yeah, holiday update for everyone - Chris has told me to tell you all that he did change his clothes and didnt spend the whole holiday in tomotoe covered trousers etc, also while on holiday some whose older than me wore a Borat Mankini aswell by the pool (I have got pics but not allowed to show them), yet :DD:DD

Andy reflection on last week: mmmmmmmmm, generally iffy, went out for Toms b'day which was nice (hes 41 now :lalala:) not sure what this week brings I think im pencilled in at Jo Jo's Thursday, Weds rings alarm bells and thats about it.

The 'Boiler Spares Van' is going into the fleet tomorrow, i feel like we should do what they do with ships and smash a bottle of Lambrini on it but i have a feeling all the filler and paint would fall off. I have spend on and off over the past 2 weeks cleaning the Van up and as Tom said it almosts looks newish maybe perhaps.

Oh yeah more update, the shed did arrive and is fully erected now and standing in its prime and glory :p just gotta think what to put in it now, more lodgers? koso's, chinese peoples whatever i aint fussy, you cant be when you have a lodger like little jon :P.

Not sure what other rubbish to write, I did offer Jo Jo a lift in the van but she wasnt impressed, since when did jo jo get standards hey - shes from bloody nuneaton!!

  • back again

    ello all,

    well whats new:

Started work on the garden, thats about it. So far - well last weekend Tom 'the slag' helped me lay some slabs in the back garden ready for my new shed which is due this tuesday, once i got the shed up i can sort the garage out, yipheeeeeeeeeeeee. Sunday (last one) Stu and me did some more work which involved lots of gravel, lots of getting up grass and putting up some trelis or however u spell it, this was going to be the area for the compost bin however now seems to be the poo station for all the animals. The final bit of the garden to be done was the tree and palm plants being planted which look nice with the lights around them at night.

Last night I had a bbq, Stu, Tom, Chris, Wayne, Paul and all of next door came, it was a nice night, we started at 6ish and they left at about 11.30 so was a plesent time had by all i think. We sat in the 'new' garden.

Arhhhh more new stuff, I have finally finished the work website www.covplumbing.co.uk and yes notice the link the to fun run in Cov hint hint and if thats not subtle enough try www.justgiving.com/theplum-bers we are doing the fun run in fancy dress, well 12 of us are so all donations will be greatfully recieved.

  • Im back from holiday

    Hi all well im home.

As some off you know i have been on holiday to Lanzorte which was a real nice break. The week generally consisted of rest, bit of drink, swimming pool, food and sleep. I will upload the pics shortly (got to resize them).

We went from Birmingham Airport but got a taxi from Chris and Waynes in Bedworth on the Gupti express, this involved going down the M6 in a normal taxi cab with the boot open and the suitcases hanging out the back, somehow they all arrived with us at the airport.

While on the flight somehow Chris dropped a tomatoe drinking all over him and the seat, hehehehehe, that was fun for him eventually sitting on plastic bags to keep him dry. In arrivals all went well apart from having to wait for Toms suitcase to take ages come through but it eventually did. We did have a hire car aswell - the car I do hate is the Citroen Picasso thingy - many reasons for this but maybe go into this at another time.

The holiday generally as i said was mainly relaxing apart for a trip around the 'national park' for the volcanoes, im remember this from last time I went and yeah its a bit scarey still sitting on the edge of a massive hill in a coach thats going quick on the tour guide. Wayne was driving at learnt like I remember, its survival of the fittest and having the balls to stand your ground on the round and not dive out the way, basically coaches would run you off the road.

Each night we would generally walk down to the beach front to have tea which was always very very nice food and then walk back to the Villa to chat and laugh. We stayed at this villa which was really nice (click here).

thats all for now as im doing this while at work and starting to get busy.

will update and stuff at a later time and oh yeah any typing errors etc are to be accepted as I havent prove read this :)

    xx
